Summary

Kling 3 Pro is a clear upgrade from Kling 2.6 and the Veo 3.1 models on most dimensions. It excels at human performance and emotive acting, has some of the best prompt understanding of any model, and produces cinematic, well-composed shots with standout animal realism. It can very fluidly go from slow motion to regular speed, showing really good temporal coherence. It can generate some nonsensical outputs, so expect to run a few prompts to get it right. But when it gets it right, it's quite good. 2D animation and anime are average. Text rendering is just okay and may require some re-prompting.

Examples

Cinematic medium-wide tracking shot through a sunlit primeval forest, a robed rider sidesaddle on a pale long-maned steed picking its way slowly between mossy oaks, dust motes hanging in cathedral shafts of light. The animal exhales, mane lifting in a soft updraft, her gaze fixed gently forward. Lush emerald-and-amber grade, anamorphic compression, the unhurried pace of a fable, no soundtrack but birdsong and hooffalls on leaf litter. ---
High-contrast black-and-white aerial, locked overhead shot of a boxing ring with one figure seated low in shadow at the bottom of frame as two opponents circle each other slowly in the bright square below, long shadows pinwheeling. The crowd is invisible blackness beyond the ropes. Single hard top-down light pool, crushed blacks, soft 35mm grain, the choreographed stillness of a Wong Kar-wai standoff.
Extreme wide-angle 16mm-style fisheye, locked-off on the bow of a tall ship as an adult sailor crouches near the camera, the bowsprit and rigging curving around him in distorted arcs, gray Atlantic swell heaving behind. Wind whips his curls, ropes thump against masts. Heavy practical grain, vignetted edges, desaturated blues and bone whites, archival expedition film texture.
Image-to-video from the provided forest-path frame. Add a slow handheld push forward along the quiet blue-hour path, with leaves swaying gently and a warm distant lamp glowing between the trees. Soft lens halation, deep slate-blue grade, subtle natural shake, calm indie film texture.
70s Kodachrome-grain motion picture footage, telephoto compression tracking shot of an adult runner in saffron shorts moving through chest-high wheat alongside a long-haired white farm dog, both bounding in syncopated leaps. Cobalt cloudless sky, golden stalks lit from behind, a hint of overexposure flaring the highlights. Slight gate weave, soft anamorphic flares, the unhurried freedom of a quiet Sunday afternoon.
Retro 80s anime style, GoPro-selfie framing as a young astronaut in a cracked white suit stretches one arm out to film himself inside a battered cockpit packed with toggle switches, CRT readouts and dangling wires. He tries a tight smile that doesn't quite hide his exhaustion; a planet rolls past the viewport behind. Cel-painted highlights, chromatic aberration on the monitor glow, Akira-era color richness, the held breath of someone who isn't sure they'll be rescued. ---
Soft slice-of-life anime moment, low-angle medium close-up of two college-aged friends resting in tall grass, one with auburn hair leaning into frame as the breeze moves a loose strand across the other friend’s cheek. He blinks up and smiles quietly. Warm afternoon sun filters through a green canopy, lens flare wisps, painted bokeh of distant hills, the suspended hush of a tender unspoken moment.
Stylized anime action shot, side-on tracking of a hooded rider in a flowing red scarf leaning into a turn on a chunky crimson sportbike, tail kicking up a curtain of spray as neon storefronts streak past in long horizontal speed lines. Rain sheets across the asphalt, reflections fragmenting into blue-green smears. Heavy ink-line aesthetic, hand-painted speed blur, mid-90s OVA grit, the held adrenaline beat before a downshift.
Cinematic hand-painted anime sequence, wide aerial shot of an adult traveler in dark robes standing on the back of a long iridescent serpent dragon as it weaves through a rose-gold dawn sky over rust-red dunes, scales rippling like opal under the sun. The dragon banks gently as its eye glints toward camera. Painterly clouds, soft volumetric backlight, hair and sash whipping in slow wind, the awe of first flight.
